cracking delphi components

Hello,
I usually when I crack Delphi components I crack my exe that contains the trial version of the components.

but is there better ways ?

my target is for a database components that has a limited number of the current ruining copies in network.

find bytes, whitch you replace in exe file, at dcu file and replace it

 

try to break on FindWindow(Ex)A(W) and fix jcc

he said "in network.", that probably means upd work.
so in that case you need to set hooks on corresponding winsock functions
